This project is located in China town. After a site visit and site site analysis, it became clear that the area’s numerous restaurants and coffee shops often have limited seating. Recognizing an opportunity to enhance Homeboy Industries’ revenue streams, I conceived a versatile design for the site. The site is divided into three distinct sections: In the Kid-Friendly Zone (Triangle Area), children and young adults can enjoy ground-level rock climbing and skating activities on the lower level. The Café and Restaurant Hub (Middle Portion) serves as the heart of the site, housing a café, multiple restaurants, and a botanical garden on the lower level. Open-air seating creates an appealing dining experience. The Homeboy Industry Space (Last Part) is designed to offer additional outdoor workspace for Homeboy Industries. The lower level features conference rooms for meetings and collaborative efforts.
